We are excited to present these virtual roundtable discussions between student filmmakers! The Zoom events were held on June 3rd, and on June 15th and are the brainchild of Pamm Malveaux, a filmmaker, teacher and Cinema Ed mentor. During the Covid-19 pandemic, while students have been quarantined at home during the remainder of the school year, Pamm created the "It Sucks That I'm Stuck In The House Film Club”, which has teamed up with Cinema Ed and the Orange Youth Shine Bright Virtual Film Festival to present these amazing students talking about their films.

In the June 3rd event students from four different schools discuss the art of making their films, including Zoe Grey Francis-Merritt from Casmir Pullaski School, Isabella Goodman from Glen Ridge High School, Josue Pantaleon from Orange High School, and Arya Bondre from Drew University. On June 15th, Zoe Grey Francis- Merritt and Arya Bondre joined Ashley Charles, Jasiyah Scott and Katelyn Gomez from Orange High School to interview Writer/Director Yucef Mayes who made the award-winning short film "Zahra and the Oil Man".

Special thanks to Candace Lee of ValleyArts and Danielle Earle, film teacher at Orange High School for also participating.

We hope you enjoy the discussions!
